Ashleigh Wick of the Hillsboro area sent in this photo of her family’s dogs, Cody, left, and Cooper.

Ashleigh Wick of the Hillsboro area said her family’s two male rescue dogs, Cody, 10, and Cooper, 5, have different interests, but both like being around water.

“Cody loves to sunbathe, go on walks anywhere outdoors – especially at Valley View Glades (outside of Hillsboro) – and go on boat rides,” she said. “Cooper loves to play. He will literally play ball eight hours a day. He also likes to swim in the lake at our house in Raintree Plantation.”

Ashleigh said she believes Cooper is part wolf since he is well over 100 pounds and has many features similar to a wolf.

Ashleigh’s mom, Lori Wick, said the dogs’ veterinarian also believes Cooper is part wolf.

She said Cody is full yellow Labrador, and Cooper “looks like he also has yellow Lab features.”

Ashleigh said Cody had a rough start to life.

“Cody was rescued from a puppy mill and now does not have his full tail since it was eaten off by a larger puppy,” she said.

Lori said the Wick family loves Cody and Cooper.

“They’re very much valued members of the family,” she said.
