Cheryl Brewer of Dittmer said her granddog, Lady Feola, a Rottweiler-Australian shepherd, is a beloved member of her household.

“She’s the pet of my son, Michael Hoefelmann, of Eureka,” Brewer said. “She lives with us.”

Lady Feola, 7, provides the family with a lot of entertainment, Brewer said.

“She is a riot. She just cracks me up.”

Brewer said Lady Feola supervises the family’s farm animals.

“She takes care of our chickens, ducks and turkeys. She’s a herder dog. She keeps them together. She protects them.”

Lady Feola enjoys snow.

“The snow just brings out the puppy in her.”

Brewer said Lady Feola is affectionate.

“We can’t leave without her, even though most things are scary to her, like overpasses and big trucks,” Brewer said. “She wants to go so she can hang out the window.

“Feola is a hugger and hugs everyone she sees.”

Brewer can’t say enough about how much Lady Feola means to her and her family.

“She is a ray of sunshine. She is loved by all who know her. I can’t imagine life without her.”
