Rich and Cathy Barnett, formerly of Festus, submitted this photo of dogs Fred and Ellie looking out the window from a couch at their new home in Potosi.
Fred, 6, is a full-blooded pitbull and Ellie, 3, is a pitbull-Great Dane mix, Cathy said.
“This photo is just after we’ve moved to our new home,” she said. “We’ve pretty much made the couch theirs. They watch the cows and horses. They enjoy looking out the window from there.”
The dogs know when Cathy is near, she said.
“They sense when I’m coming home,” she said. “They’re my babies.”
Fred and Ellie are rescue dogs, she noted.
Both dogs have good personalities, she said.
“Ellie is very energetic and playful,” she said. “Fred has never met a stranger. He tried to get in a FedEx truck one time to go for a ride.”
