This is Franklin in a photo taken October 2015 at Lake St. Clair in St. Clair. He loves to be on the boat. He doesn’t like to swim, but he likes to be on the boat.
Franklin, a Chihuahua-pug mix, is 7. He was a rescue dog. We got him in July 2012, and he had some kind of trauma to his leg. Soon after we rescued him, his leg had to be amputated. He did really well. After about a week, he was almost back to normal.
We have another dog, Hercules, a Yorkie-Maltese. They get along. Hercules can swim. Franklin, however, can’t make a lot of progress in the water with the missing leg.
Franklin is very sweet and friendly, very cheerful. He has a happy disposition.
