Lure, shown in a winter 2017 photo, got her name from her family’s interest in angling.
“We like to fish,” Sharon Jones said. “When you fish, you need a great lure and she’s a great Lure.”
Jones said the photo was taken in the front yard at her Festus home.
Lure, now about 2, is a black Labrador-poodle mixture, otherwise known as a black doodle.
“She loves the snow,” Jones said.
Lure, a therapy dog, spreads joy wherever she goes, her owner said.
“We go to places like Mercy Jefferson Hospital and its Cancer Center, Mercy Rehab, Pony Bird, different school districts that need us,” Jones said. “She has a very good personality. Her eyes are very expressive.”
Lure also gets along with the family’s cat, Jones said.
“We have a cat, Rogue, and they play like puppies together,” she said.
