Amy Meyer of the Festus area said this photo shows her cat, Dexter, a 5-year-old tabby, in his favorite spot in the house when the HVAC system kicks on.
“This is Dexter soaking up some heat,” Meyer said. “Every time the heat turns on, he runs to the nearest vent because it’s blowing hot air.”
In addition to affection for heat vents, Dexter enjoys food, Meyer said.
“He loves human food. Eggs and chicken are his favorite. He likes Jell-O.”
Dexter can be affectionate, Meyer said.
“He likes to sit in someone’s lap and give kisses,” she said.
Meyer said Dexter also enjoys pestering the family’s other pet.
“We have another cat, Oreo, and Dexter likes to bother him a lot,” Meyer said.
