The Festus High School Freshman, Concert and Symphonic bands closed out their 2021-2022 concert season May 3 with an ambitious program that included a medley of Henry Mancini classics ("Pink Panther" theme, anyone?), "Star Wars" music (on the eve of May 4, Star Wars Day) and a collection of music from "The Lion King" before ending with the band's traditional closer, the John Philip Sousa classic "Stars and Stripes Forever," complete with a piccolo solo by Mackenzie Stockton.
