Friday (Oct. 13) was Senior Night at Festus Stadium, and in addition to having fourth-year football players, cheerleaders, cross country runners, dance team performers and band members walk in front of the crowd with their parents, the Festus Marching Tigers renewed an annual tradition -- during the second quarter, the band assembles in the end zone, where seniors address the rest of the band, with some speeches rollicking, some bittersweet, some brief and others, well, not so brief. But all the talking was over before it was time for the Marching Tigers to take the field for their expanded halftime salute to movies.
