As the Festus High School Marching Tigers were prepared to journey to Tiger Stadium for the first-round football playoff game Friday, Oct. 27, all decked out in their Halloween finery, word came down that the start of the game was delayed due to lightning. The band then hunkered down, many amusing themselves with a few dozen trips around the band room in a "Macarena" conga line and assorted other hijinks. The game began, and with it, another halftime performance that went off without a hitch -- except for the unexpected entrance of a green creature named "Slimey" that harassed the musicians while they played and also posed for selfies.
