Hillsboro High School student Lauren Goskie is among 12 finalists in the 2014 St. Louis Teen Talent Competition.
As one of the finalists, she will be featured in the hour-long Teen Talent Competition to be broadcast on Channel 9 PBS (KETC) at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, at 3 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18.
In addition to the finalists' performances, the competition will feature interviews with the teenagers.
The preliminary round of the St. Louis Teen Talent competition, organized by the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation, drew 107 acts, which were whittled down to 12 for the finals. The finalists receive scholarships, prizes and the chance to perform at local venues.
The finals were held April 4 at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis and were judged by theater professionals, including Broadway star and St. Louis native Ken Page, “The Office” actress and St. Louis native Phyllis Smith and Muny executive director Mike Isaacson.
