Charlie White

Fox High senior Charlie White recently got an award from the Arnold Rotary Club.

The Arnold Rotary Club recently gave Fox High School senior Charlie White an award recognizing his community service.

White has volunteered for the past few years at the Rotary Club’s annual pancake breakfast, held annually at the First Baptist Church of Arnold, where White attends services.

“He loves to volunteer and works hard,” said Rotary Club Steve Smith, who chaired the March 5 pancake breakfast.

White again helped with the event.

“He was one of the first (volunteers) there and one of the last ones to leave,” Smith said. “He’s all about service above self, and he’s dependable.”

About 300 people were served at the breakfast, and about $6,200 was raised for the Rotary Club, which donates to a variety of local, national and international charitable projects and organizations every year.

White was invited to the Rotary Club’s weekly luncheon on March 30 at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Arnold, where he received a plaque.

Arnold Mayor Ron Counts, a Rotary Club member, also presented White with a proclamation that declared the day Charlie White Day.
