Craig W. Phillips

Craig W. Phillips, 71, of Arnold died Oct. 7, 2014, at his home. Mr. Phillips was a pipefitter with Ameren and a paralegal. He was a retired president of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 148 and a member of the Rock Memorial American Legion Post 283 in Imperial. He also served in the Army and the Missouri National Guard.

Born May 22, 1943, in East St. Louis, he was the son of the late Everett W. and Margaret (Wells) Phillips.

He is survived by his wife: Glenna (White) Phillips; three sons: Jason (Angela) Phillips of Hillsboro, Ben (Michelle) Nungester of Arnold and Ross (Carrie Hilker) Nungester of Arnold, a daughter: Lynn (Brian) Teach of Arnold; and 10 grandchildren: Abigail, Mia, Ian and Eli Phillips, Brett, Bradley, Jacob and Logan Nungester and Brendan and Peyton Teach; a brothers: Jerry (Karen) Phillips of Belleville and Bob (Susan) Phillips of Lake Ozark.

He is preceded in death by a sister: Betty Phillips Kunz.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 3921 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, officiated by the Rev. Steve Majdecki. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks with full military honors.
