The Fox C-6 Board of Education will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic and associated school building closures, the seven board members and superintendent’s cabinet will meet remotely, and the public may view the meeting on the district’s YouTube channel.

“The plan is to broadcast the meeting live and record it,” said JP Prezzavento, Fox’s communication and instructional technology coordinator. “If the live broadcast, for some reason, doesn’t work, I will upload the recording. I have tested it a couple of times.”

Prezzavento said board and cabinet members will use the Zoom online video-meeting service to hold the meeting.

Community members may submit comments to the board before the meeting is held, he said.

Prezzavento said the meeting’s agenda will be published on the district’s website, fox.k12.mo.us, today (April 17). The district will then make comment forms available on Saturday (April 18) for the public to fill out online.

He said a link to the form will be on the Board of Education page on the district’s website, and he will provide a link to the form on Fox’s social media.

According to Fox School District policy, the board only accepts comments at its meeting that are related to items on the agenda, and the district will not allow problems involving particular employees or students to be discussed during an open meeting.

“We will read (comments) word for word during the patron comment section,” Prezzavento said. “We have the most confidence that will allow everyone to participate.”

Prezzavento said that as of Monday (April 13), all the board members and cabinet members were expected to participate in the April 21 meeting.
