Prior to Dec. 12, the restaurant will hold invitation-only, pre-opening events and raise money for Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County.

The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at the new restaurant.

Business hours will be from 4-10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 4-11 p.m. Fridays; it will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays.

Construction of the 8,000-square-foot restaurant began earlier this year in the Festus Commerce & Business Center on the southern end of Shapiro Drive.

Larry Goodwin is the developer. The complex also includes a KFC and a Planet Fitness gym, among other businesses.

The county’s only other Texas Roadhouse is located in Arnold.

On Nov. 29, the Festus City Council voted 7-0 to approve a liquor license application for the steak house. Ward 2 Councilman Brian Wehner was absent from the meeting.
