Shannon’s Auto Repair, 2777 High Ridge Blvd., is a full-service, family-owned auto repair shop with four employees: owners Larry Shannon and Danielle Shannon, son Kyle Shannon and Josh Haun.

A High Ridge couple has relocated their auto repair shop, but it hasn’t moved too far.

Danielle and Larry Shannon had been operating Shannon’s Auto Repair out of their home on Antire Road but relocated it to 2777 High Ridge Blvd. in High Ridge on May 1.

Danielle, who works as office manager, said they consider themselves a small mom-and-pop business, and they are thankful for the community’s support.

“We are a small shop with only four employees, but we pride ourselves on our big commitment to the High Ridge community,” she said. “We look forward to bringing back the feeling of the mom-and-pop shop that has somewhat faded. We pride ourselves on being honest mechanics and look forward to serving our community with integrity.”

Larry has worked in the auto repair industry for about 17 years, Danielle said.

She said they moved to High Ridge in 2020 and love the area.

Larry started the business as a side job, operating it from a garage behind their home on Antire Road.

That space has a big shop area that was perfect for working on vehicles, and they installed two lifts, Danielle said.

She said Larry quit his 9-5 job in July 2022 and turned their business into his full-time job.

However, Larry became so busy that parking and access became problematic, so they leased the property with two bays on High Ridge Boulevard. They still use their home shop for engine and transmission work, Danielle said.

“We are a full-service, family-owned-and-operated auto repair shop,” she said.

In addition to Larry and Danielle, their 23-year-old son, Kyle works for the business. They have another employee, Josh Haun.

The shop soon will be licensed to do state inspections, Danielle said.
