Suspicious behavior leads to arrest at Arnold Walmart

A 26-year-old Hillsboro man was arrested on drug charges about 4:15 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Arnold Walmart Supercenter on Michigan Avenue, Arnold Police report.

Police got a call about a man who was acting suspiciously at the store.

“He had purchased syringes and then was outside acting weird, shaking and sweating,” Arnold Police Major Nick McBroom said.

He had a backpack with coffee filters hanging out of it. Also, officers found fuel, lithium batteries, funnels and other items commonly used to make meth inside the backpack, McBroom said.

The Jefferson County Municipal Enforcement Group Drug Task Force was called to the scene.

Felony charges will be sought through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, McBroom said.
