This is Miracle Whip. She only has two legs because she was born with spina bifida. She’s about 8 months old.

I found her when she was a newborn along the side of a road in De Soto one day. I had moved to a new home in De Soto from Chicago a short time before. I took her to see Dr. (Dana Dacus), a veterinarian, to check her out. I was like, “Can you save her?” She said, “Yes, we can save her.” I work for Dr. Dacus as a veterinary technician.

We took Miracle Whip to a veterinary surgeon in Valley Park, who removed her legs. When we saw her, she could not get around and didn’t know if she’d been hit by a car. That’s why we took her to Dr. Dacus, to see if she could be saved.

Miracle Whip is wonderful. She puts her little buttocks in the air and walks on her front paws. But, I’d like somebody to build her a little cart (for her back end) to help her get around. Miracle Whip is everything to me.

All my life I’ve loved cats. We also have a German shepherd, Rusty, and other cats. Rusty gets along with the cats. The cats sleep with him.

The other cats’ names are Oreo Cookie, Biscuit, Oatmeal, Raisin, Chicken Nugget and Pepper. Our other cat, Sliver, has been missing about a year.

I will not stop searching for Sliver. I advertise for Sliver in the Leader. People call me about a cat they’ve seen and I’ll check it out. It just hasn’t turned out to be her. We will just keep searching for her.

Sliver is a small gray and white cat with short hair and about 4 years old. If you have any information about her, please call me at 636-337-5064 or 815-342-2849. Also, please call me if you can make Miracle Whip a cart.
