Someone recently broke into the De Soto Veterinary Hospital in the 13000 block of Hwy. 21 and stole some mixed nuts, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. July 20 and 7:30 a.m. July 21.
The thief or thieves broke out a window to get inside the business and then moved around some medicine bottles, as well as a large container of mixed nuts, the report said.
That container was taken from a desk and placed on counter in the hallway. Also, some nuts appeared to be missing, according to the report.
The damage was estimated at $310, the report said.
No arrests had been made as of July 25, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
