New Arnold Starbucks restaurant to open Jan. 21

The new Starbucks in Arnold is scheduled to open on Saturday, Jan. 21, manager Megan Williams says.

The restaurant, which will be Jefferson County’s first Starbucks, is in the Arnold Crossroads complex on Hwy. 141 near Jeffco Boulevard.

A Panda Express restaurant already has opened next door.

Starbucks will hold a grand-opening for the new store later, Williams said.

The restaurant is 1,750 square feet and includes a drive-through, said Josh Foster, president of J.E. Foster Building Co. in St. Louis County, which built the coffee shop.

It will have seating for about 30 inside, Williams said.

More seating is available on an outdoor patio.

Foster said the Arnold Starbucks is the first one to be built in the St. Louis area in the past three years.

Starbucks’ first store opened in 1971 in Seattle, Wash. Now, the company has about 15,000 stores in 50 countries.
