Medication stolen from locked safe at Fenton-area home

Prescription medication and a cellular phone recently were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Countryside Circle in the Fenton area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The burglary took place between 8 p.m. March 3 and 10 a.m. March 4, the report said.

Among the stolen items was a bottle of about 58 oxycotin pills and a bottle of about 174 oxycodone pills, as well as a GoPhone, or prepaid cellular phone, according to the report.

In all, the items were valued at about $90, the report said.

The thief or thieves forced open the front door to get inside the home, according to the report.

The victim told deputies the medication had been locked inside a small safe, although the safe did not appear to be damaged, the report said.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday, March 8, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
