Two 18-year-old Arnold men were arrested about noon on Sept. 26 for allegedly stealing shoes from the Famous Footwear store in the Water Tower Place complex off Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold, Arnold Police report.
Officers got a call about the shoplifting incident, and when they arrived on the scene, one of the men ran away, the report said.
Police arrested the other man at the store and not long after found the man who had fled hiding behind the Hobby Lobby store south on Jeffco, according to the report.
The man found hiding reportedly was wearing the tennis shoes he had stolen, Arnold Police Major Nick McBroom said.
Those shoes were valued at $79.99, the report said.
Both men were booked and issued summonses to appear in Municipal Court.
The man who fled also was cited for resisting arrest, according to the report.
