Mad neighbor damages car, but targets the wrong one

A 35-year-old Arnold woman was arrested about 7:15 p.m. Feb. 2, after she allegedly got mad at a neighbor and damaged what she mistakenly thought was the neighbor’s car, Arnold Police report.

Officers responded to a call about a disturbance in the 100 block of Starling Community, where the woman and a neighbor allegedly had been arguing, the report said.

After the argument, the woman allegedly used a wine bottle to hit a car parked nearby and cut its tires, causing about $300 in damage, Arnold Police Maj. Nick McBroom said.

The woman reportedly thought the car was her neighbor’s but it wasn’t, McBroom said.

The woman was booked and released on a summons to appear in Municipal Court for property damage, the report said.
