House Springs home ransacked; prescription drugs, cash taken

Cash and prescription medicine was stolen from a home in the 3700 block of Carol Park Road in House Springs between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on March 19, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The victim told deputies her house had been ransacked and she found the prescription medication and $120 in cash missing, the report said.

It looked like the thief or thieves broke a doorknob on the home’s back door to get inside.

Throughout the home, contents of drawers had been dumped on the floor, according to the report.

Another house on Carol Park had been burglarized on Feb. 22, but the two thefts did not appear to be connected, the report said.

No arrests had been made as of March 25, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
