A 27-year-old woman and 30-year-old man, both of Arnold, were arrested March 31 for alleged possession of drugs and paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child, Arnold Police report.

Four children were removed from the home.

Police got a call about 12:30 p.m. March 31 about a woman who allegedly had overdosed on heroin at a home on Pear Tree Lane in Arnold, the report said.

She survived the overdose, police reported.

When police arrived, the 27-year-old woman had been taken by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County, according to the report.

During their investigation, police reportedly found narcotics and paraphernalia in the basement of the home, where the woman allegedly had overdosed, the report said.

Also, four children were home at the time, according to the report.

The woman’s boyfriend – the 30-year-old man – was arrested, and the children were handed over to the state Children’s Division, the report said.

While police were still on the scene, the woman returned to the home, and she, too, was arrested, according to the report.

Arnold Police will seek felony charges against the two through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, said Major Nick McBroom of the Arnold Police Department.
