Christian Wayne Pinkley, 32, of De Soto has been sentenced to seven years in prison for attempting to manufacture methamphetamine, court records show.
In March 2010, Pinkley, a prior offender, was found with lithium batteries, Coleman fuel, Heet, pseudoephedrine and other items commonly used to make met, the report said.
Pinkley pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced Aug. 3 by Jefferson County Div. 3 Circuit Judge Nathan Stewart.
He may be released early on probation if he successfully completes a 120-day treatment program, according to the report.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Trisha C. Stefanski handled the case.
Pinkley had previously pleaded guilty to felony forgery and stealing charges in connection with a January 1999 incident, court papers indicate.
