Michelle Bernice Roland, 24, of Arnold has been sentenced to seven years in prison on drug charges, court records show.
In July 2010, she was found in possession of heroin and pleaded guilty June 18 to the charge and was sentenced that day by Jefferson County Div. 3 Circuit Judge Nathan B. Stewart, the report said.
Roland may be released early if she successfully completes a 120-day substance abuse program.
She also was sentenced June 18 to seven years for passing a fraudulent check on Jan. 16. That term is to be served concurrently, or at the same time, as the other sentence, according to the report.
In addition, Roland was sentenced to four years, to be served concurrently with the others, for violating probation she received in January 2010 for fraudulently obtaining controlled substances four separate times in 2007 by calling in prescriptions for herself under the name of a doctor she worked for, court documents indicate.
She also got four years for violating probation she got for fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance in 2009. That term, too, is to be served concurrently.
Roland got a five-year sentence for violating probation she received in November 2010 for passing a fraudulent check in February of that year, and that term is to be served concurrently as well, the report said.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Travis D. Partney handled the case.
