Arnold 19-year-old nets six-year sentence on four charges: assault, tampering, two burglaries

Robert J. Marty IV, 19, of Arnold recently was sentenced to six years in prison for assault, court documents show.

On March 11, 2012, Marty injured a man by kicking him, the report said.

Also, between March 1 and March 11, 2012, he unlawfully operated a car without the owner’s permission, according to the report.

Marty pleaded guilty and was sentenced Sept. 28, 2012, by Jefferson County Div. 3 Circuit Judge Nathan B. Stewart to six years for assault and another six-year term for the tampering charge. However, those two terms are to be served concurrently, or at the same time, the report said.

Those two sentences also are to be served concurrently with two four-year terms he got the same day – one for a burglary in June 2011 in the 1600 block of Horine Road in the Festus area and the other for a burglary in May 2011 in the 3100 block of Meadowfield Drive in the Arnold area, according to the report.
