A 19-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested after he was found with a bag full of items he allegedly had stolen, Arnold Police Major Nick McBroom says.
Police got a call just before 8 a.m. Sept. 3 about a suspicious person looking through vehicles on Tribute Drive in Strawberry Ridge subdivision, the report said.
After officers arrived, the man ran from them, but he was caught shortly thereafter with a bag filled with 18 items, mostly electronics, of which he could not provide proof of ownership, according to the report.
A witness said the man had been going through a vehicle in the 2300 block of Tribute, and the man allegedly confessed to stealing items from several vehicles in the subdivision, the report said.
Felony charges will be sought through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, but had not been filed as of Sept. 17, McBroom said.
