Some $16,000 in cash, plus an Ipad valued at more than $700 were stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 700 block of Kohnen Road in the Fenton area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The theft happened between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. July 6.
The victim told deputies the cash was for a deposit from his business, and he had left it in his unlocked vehicle parked at his father’s home, which is near his own home, according to the report.
No arrests had been made as of July 13, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
