U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class William F. Ehrlich, born Oct. 30, 1928, recently celebrated his 93rd birthday.

“William F. ‘Bill’ Ehrlich of Arnold served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1951,” she said. “From 1948 to 1950, he served in the 29th Infantry Regiment during the Okinawa Occupation of Japan. From 1950 to 1951, he served in Korea with the 2nd Infantry Division, 9th Infantry Regiment. For the remainder of his military service, he served as chief clerk in the Judge Advocate General’s Office in Camp Carson, Colo.”
Mr. Ehrlich, now 93, is retired from H.J. Heinz Co. He and his wife, Alveda, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19. They have four children, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
