Tiffany L. Marler in 1997 as a Navy hospital corpsman.
Tiffany L. Marler of Arnold says her military service sparked her interest in family advocacy.
“I served with the U.S. Navy from November 1996 to September 1998 as a hospital corpsman and in Washington D.C. as an assistant to the Rear Admiral at Bethesda Naval Hospital,” she said.
“My introduction into politics and advocacy started back then and has never diminished.”
Marler, who was born in Kirkwood, said she traveled all over the world before settling in Jefferson County.
She helped open the nonprofit NoMoreTears21:4, an advocacy organization to help combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
In April, she helped open the Aurora Hope Foundation to combat veteran and child homelessness, help with veteran suicide prevention, seek out and promote child and foster care incentives and improve community connections.
“I now work close in hand with our Ward 2 city councilman and many other elected representatives in the state and on a federal level, combatting human trafficking on one hand and then helping veterans and children in need on the other.”
