The Festus girls basketball team, now 11-2, added two more wins Monday. The Tigers beat Jerseyville 50-24 in a rescheduled Alton Great Rivers Shootout game and then came home and defeated Union 61-51 in a non-conference contest.
That gave the Tigers two wins in two states on the same day.
“In 40 years of coaching, I’ve never done (that),” Festus head coach Ron Rhodes said about the doubleheader wins.
