In a meeting of state hopefuls, St. Pius X (Class 4) visits Eureka (Class 5) tonight in a nonconference girls volleyball match.
The Lancers (12-3) have made it to the state final four 10 times (as Class 1 or 2) and won the Class 2 state championship in 2017. A year later, the Wildcats (11-5) captured the Class 4 state title.
It's the second match in a row against a state champion for St. Pius, which fell in three sets to Incarnate Word Academy (11 state crowns) on Tuesday.
