Guethle scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Jaguars (3-2) to a 67-49 victory over Festus (2-2) in the championship game of the 70th Gene Steighorst Tournament at Hillsboro on Nov. 13. It’s the second straight season Seckman has won the tournament. Averaging 25 points per game, Guethle is one of the highest scoring players in the St. Louis area. He’s made 49 of 76 (64.5 percent) shots from the field and 14 of 16 free throws. A 6-5 junior guard, Guethle set the school record for 3-point baskets last season with 72.
