The junior quarterback threw four touchdown passes, three to senior wide receiver Jackson Frank, to lead the Tigers (9-2) to a 42-24 victory over visiting North County (6-6) in the Class 4 District 1 championship Nov. 14. Perry (6-1, 195) set a school record with 33 TD passes this season, breaking the mark of 29, held by Cole Rickermann. Perry has completed 72 percent of his passes and thrown for more than 2,000 yards and a state finalist in 2024, Festus has won back-to-back MAFC and district titles and are at Sullivan (9-3) in the quarterfinals Saturday.
