Counting open events and relays, Waltman, a 2026 graduate, finished his historic career winning 14 Class 2 state medals. Waltman won state championships in the 200- and 400-meter runs in 2025. At the state meet in Jefferson City on May 22-23, Waltman led the Blue Jays to the first boys team title in any sport when he anchored the 4x400 relay to first place, set a Class 2 record in the 400 with a time of 48.03 seconds, came in sixth in the 100 in 11.08 and defended his state title in the 200 in 21.54.
