Lillie Coleman, Windsor soccer
The new graduate set the single-season record for goals for the Owls when she netted six in an 8-0 shutout over De Soto in the first round of the Class 3 District 1 tournament May 21 in Imperial. Coleman had 30 goals going into the district semifinals against Festus (May 23 after deadline). She is also the school’s career leader in assists with 40.
Bo Davis, Jefferson baseball
The No. 1 seed in the Class 3 District 3 tournament, the Blue Jays hammered Grandview (5) 18-0 in the semifinals and beat St. Pius X (3) 10-3 in the championship May 20 at Cape Girardeau Central High. A graduate this month, Davis, who plays left field, had a batting average and on-base percentage of 1.000 and drove in five runs in the two games. With Jefferson leading the Lancers 1-0 in the second inning, Davis hit the first home run of his varsity career. Davis has signed to cheer at Mineral Area College in Park Hills.
Jackson Smith, Festus baseball
A 2026 graduate, Smith pitched a no-hitter, struck out 12 and doubled and scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning of a 2-1 victory over De Soto in the Class 5 District 1 championship May 22 in Farmington. The Tigers improved to 21-10 and won their sixth consecutive district title. They play Chaminade (20-14) in a best 2-of-3 state quarterfinals series Friday and Saturday. Smith has signed to play at the University of Michigan.
