A senior, Isaia won the discus with a meet-record throw of 51.55 meters and took first in the shot put in 14.57 Saturday at the Northwest Invitational in Cedar Hill. He finished second in the discus at the Class 5 state championships last year in 53.27, one meter behind first place. A defensive lineman in football, Isaia helped lead Seckman to its best back-to-back seasons (18-5) in school history. He plans to continue his track and field career at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
