A Cedar Hill man died from his injuries following a crash on Hwy. 30 at Local Hillsboro Road in Cedar Hill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 2:20 p.m. Sept. 14, an 80-year-old Cedar Hill woman, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, traveled through the intersection, the report said. A 55-year-old Dittmer man, driving a 2010 Honda Pilot, attempted to avoid the Cruze, but struck the vehicle.

The Cedar Hill woman had minor injuries and was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

A passenger in the Cruze, Ronald L. Brewster, 86, of Cedar Hill, also was taken by Big River Ambulance to the hospital and pronounced dead by hospital personnel at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 23, the report said.

The Dittmer man had minor injuries and was checked by ambulance personnel, the report said. He refused further treatment.

The Highway Patrol no longer publishes names of those involved in accidents. The Medical Examiner’s Office identified Brewster as the man who died in the accident.

According to the report, both drivers and Brewster were wearing seat belts, and both vehicles had moderate damage.
