Junior Brock Inman kicked a 23-yard field goal with 16 seconds left to propel Fox to a 17-14 win at Festus on Saturday morning.
The game was postponed on Friday after heavy rain and lightning pummeled Festus. It’s the second straight season the two nonconference opponents began the year against each other and the Warriors' second win.
Festus fullback Jack Robinson gained 95 yards on 23 carries and intercepted a pass by Inman. Fox turned the ball over four times. The Tigers turned the ball over on downs, but didn’t lose a fumble and quarterback Collin Doyel didn’t throw an interception. Festus was called for 10 penalties.
