The Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association recently released its list of all state teams for Classes 1 through 4. Five players from Jefferson County were selected.
Festus sophomore Bria Garmon, the Jefferson County Activities Association large schools most valuable player, was chosen in Class 3. Four members of the St. Pius X Class 2 state championship team were selected all state: seniors Emma Grimshaw and Carley Nicholson, junior Kaylee Portell and sophomore Caly Otec.
Grimshaw and Nicholson were all state last season when the Lancers won their second state title. Nicholson was the most valuable player in the JCAA small schools.
