Festus Post 253 will begin play in the AAA American Legion state tournament against Lee’s Summit Thursday at Liberty Park in Sedalia.
Post 253 has won nine straight games and swept all six games it played in the District 13 tournament and Zone 4 tournament. Festus has won five state championships, the last one coming in 2011.

July 29: Championship, 1 p.m.; Championship (if necessary), 4 p.m.
