District baseball and soccer tournaments concluded this week and Hillsboro and Windsor will represent Jefferson County in the state playoffs.
The Hawks (14-6) outscored Seckman 8-6 in the Class 5 District 1 baseball championship on Wednesday and will play Vianney (26-9) on Tuesday in the sectional round. The Owls (11-12) shut out Hillsboro 1-0 in the Class 3 District 2 girls soccer final at Festus on Wednesday and meet Cape Girardeau Central (17-5) in the sectionals on Tuesday.
