The junior shot a 2-over par 74 to win the Class 2 District 1 championship on Oct. 1 at Fox Run Golf Course in Eureka. After shooting 40 on the front nine, Solovic made birdies on Nos. 10, 13 and 14 to pull away from the field. She won the district title by six strokes. Solovic was co-Class 2 state champion in 2016 and finished third last season. She competed in sectionals Monday after the Leader deadline.
