The freshman blasted a grand slam over the right-center field fence in the first inning against Oakville in the Class 4 sectionals in Cedar Hill on Oct. 23. Stichling’s long ball gave the Lions a 6-0 lead they wouldn’t relinquish in a 10-3 victory over the Tigers. In the third inning, Stichling had an RBI base hit to give Northwest an 8-0 lead. For the season, she’s batting .333 with five home runs and 17 RBIs.
