A junior center attacking midfielder, Marchetti leads the Hawks in scoring this season with 31 goals and five assists for 67 points. Hillsboro has won five straight games to improve to 13-7. In the two most recent wins, Marchetti scored the game-winning goals in a 3-1 victory over Festus on Oct. 18, and a 1-0 shutout over Sikeston on Oct. 20. Marchetti led the team last season with 16 goals and 44 points. He’s also done the kicking for the Hawk football team the last two years, and this fall has made 37 extra points and a field goal.
