The 10-year-old will enter fourth grade at Festus Intermediate School this fall. Shy plays golf at Fox Run Country Club in Eureka and also plays in the Gateway Junior PGA. Shy won the Parker Decker Tournament at Joachim Golf Club on July 17. He won the 9-to-11 age group by eight strokes and shot a 1-under 23 on six holes.
