Of the 69 boys and girls wrestlers from the county who qualified for the state tournaments Feb. 22-25 in Columbia, these six wrestlers, all in Classes 3 and 4, rose to the top of their weight classes. Seckman seniors Bamvakais (157) and Ruble (190) won Class 4 titles. It was Ruble’s second straight crown; he won at 160 in 2022. Hillsboro senior Ray (165), sophomore Tucker (132), junior Richardson (157) and freshman Wallis (106) helped power the Class 3 Hawks to their first-ever state team championship in wrestling.
