The “super freshman” has helped the Lions win consecutive tournament championships. Newhouse, who has a record of 19-2 this season, pinned Ethan Wells of Christian County in the 120-pound final at the Cape Central Tiger Classic on Dec. 16 to help the Lions win with 348.5 points. On Dec. 9 in the Union Tournament, Newhouse beat Troy senior Jacob Williams in a 5-2 decision at 120 and Northwest won with 188.5 points. “Boy, he really is impressing us,” Northwest head coach Ron Wilhelm said.
