The 5-8 sophomore guard made the game-winning 3-point basket in overtime to help the Tigers (23-6) beat host Farmington 62-61 in the Class 5 District 1 semifinals March 4. In a 45-40 victory in the district final over top-seeded Hillsboro on March 6, Abrams sank a 3-pointer that gave Festus the lead for good in the third quarter, then added another trey in the fourth. Abrams and senior teammate Alyzah Scaggs have combined to make more than 100 3s this season. The Tigers play Lift for Life Academy Charter (13-11) in the state quarterfinals Friday in Cape Girardeau.
